“Next time someone mentions hip hop drop this lots name as a must see” “Lazy Habits are the future” – E-Festivals

“Extended Play” is the third release from UK based live Hip Hop crew Lazy Habits. The 8 track EP is a collection of material from their first two releases, the sold out “..surface dirt” and “(on the) Wagon” EP’s, plus “Even Out” and “Please People”, taken from their forthcoming debut LP (for release spring 2010). “Extended Play” follows the bands journey since their inception in 2005 through to them being considered as one of the best live bands on the UK scene and festival circuit today and on the verge of turning underground success in to an assault on the mainstream.
The lead tracks, “Even Out” and “Please People”, have received radio airplay on BBC Radio 1, BBC Radio 6 and 1 Xtra, as well as many UK independent radio stations, Inc The Selector (British Arts Council founded radio) broadcast to over 32 countries across the world. Described as “breezy, brass soaked jazz”, “Even Out” has gone on to be a favorite summer sing-a-long at festivals across Europe and will feature in forthcoming French cinema release “La Sainte-Victoire”, whilst the military groove and political tinge of “Please People” saw Lazy Habits shoot a guerilla style video at the London G20 march in August 2009. The videos for both of these tracks have received 1000’s of plays on Youtube and are Inc on the “Extended Play” EP.
The other tracks on this EP have all been previously unavailable outside the UK, these include “Lazy” and “Fallen”, taken from 2007’s “(on the) Wagon” EP, that earned the reputation as one of the strongest UK Hip Hop releases of the year, gaining airplay on Radio 1, on both the Steve Lamacq and Ras Kwame shows, Kiss FM and Choice FM among others. These tracks also appeared on the soundtrack to MTV’s Barrio 19 and D.I.Y series.
